Hi folks Is there anyone out there who has a process map showing how ICT support deal with problems from the moment they arise until a technician actually fixes the problem. There is a lot of stuff on the web but all related to ITIL which is great but a bit too intense and complicated. I'm looking for something simple. Hopefully if someone has one they wouldn't mind sharing it with me. Thanks

Ok I have exchange forwarding email from a User1 to User2 - no problem. User 2 then has a rule set up where any email from User1 goes to a specific folder in her Outlook structure - no problem. The problem arises when a message is sent to both User1 and User2 or if User2 is cc'd in a message which has User1 in the address list. The message is still received from User1 but User 2 does not receive her copy of the email. Only applies when User1 and User2 are included the address field. All other emails come through perfectly normal. ??

Hi Plexer, in theory that's true. But not this software. It refuses to run as a student. I'll have to dig a bit deeper

Hi. Is there anyone out there who has had the following problem: I have received Picaxe Programming Editor from Revolution Education. I have successfully taken the .msi and appropriate files from the CD and deployed it over the network using GPO. The software installs perfectly and works fine as long as i log into a computer as an administrator, but my problem arises when a student logs on to a PC. Because of policies, students do not have access to the 'c' drive. Picaxe needs to access the windows/system32 folder to get to an OCX file and a DLL file which of course it can't do as a student. I do not want to open access to the 'c' drive for students. Any ideas?

Hi Rob Here's our experience with Xirrus. Our school originally had 80+ HP APs through the school. This caused us a nightmare as you can imagine and they were'nt very stable. We discovered Xirrus and got them in to have a look. 2 Years down the line I have to say i am so so glad we switched . The arrays (only 24 now instead of 80) cover our huge site with ease. We have in excesss of 600 wireless devices (and growing) on our network. The Xirrus arrays are broadcasting 2 SSIDs. One for teaching laptops and the other for student laptops (which is locked down and heavily filtered). They seem to have no problem dealing with this. I can only tell you my own personal experience but I think Xirrus are excellent and (fingers crossed) I have yet to have an array go down or give me grieve in any way. We have had very little reason to get in touch with Xirrus over the years, but when we have done, they have been excellent. Hope this helps and good look with it. Mr S. Some of the students in our school have discovered that if the unplug the network cable that they can avoid GPs and ultimately some security settings. Does anyone have a solution?
