  1. I have the following policy FileSystemPolicy.inf. EXAMPLE: [Version] signature="$CHICAGO$" Revision=1 ; Informs Windows XP Professional to use the Unicode character set. Please note ; that there are issues with using Unicode, e.g. in an LAN environment where ASCII ; is used by other clients. ; For more information consult the Unicode home page: ; [url]http://www.unicode.org[/url] [unicode] Unicode=yes [File Security] 1="%SystemRoot%\system32\svchost.exe",1,"O:S-1-5-21-484763869-1645522239-1801674531-1003D:PAR(A;OIIO;FA;;;BA)(A;OIIO;0x1200a9;;;S-1-5-19)(A;OIIO;0x1200a9;;;S-1-5-20)(A;OIIO;FA;;;SY)" . . . 9 a b . . f 1a etc.. When configuring the computer using Security Configuration and Analysis MMC snap-in the result returned in the log is: Log file: \Security\Logs\FileSystemPolicy.log ------------------------------------------- Thursday, January 04, 2007 9:20:13 AM ----Configuration engine was initialized successfully.---- ----Reading Configuration Template info... ----Un-initialize configuration engine... The results are similar when analyzing the computer. No further information is given as to why the policy is not being implemented.
