thanks for the pointers. Yuasa do seem to have the right ones... i think it needs 2 in each ups. The battery shop told me: looking at the spec sheet it looks like the batteries are NP7-12 or NP7-12L this are both available on our web site NP7-12 Yuasa 12v 7Ah Lead Acid Battery or NP7-12L Yuasa 12v 7Ah Lead Acid Battery the batteries are both the same size thay just have differant size terminals. Please check sizes before ordering. Also it sounds like the batteries are being over charged. i have to agree cheap may not have been a good policy! this is the same ups: Plexus MV 1200VA UPS so far i could not find it at plexus or tenda

We bought 2 Plexus UPS-1200MV from Ebuyer about 18 months ago. Both appear to have died at the same time. Disappointing! Batteries have a bulge so guess they overheated or had a fault. Would like to replace battery if cost effective but dont know where to get them. Ebuyer not very helpful but tell me the model is also known as PLEX-020. Tenda owns Plexus. any ideas?... UK based!
