  1. If I run the task sequence and partition the drive using SCCM nothing fails during the OS deployment, however when the system reboots it just hangs at a grey screen. If I hold down alt I select the Windows drive and still just hangs. On an already loaded Mac with Mac OS installed I target partition 4 after creating drive in Boot Camp, boot from Windows 7 installer disk to format to NTFS, then booting from SCCM USB media I found the below in the error log not sure what I can do about this, the boot camp assistant was used to create the partition. Unspecified error (Error: 80004005; Source: Windows)]LOG]!> stdout: Failure when attempting to copy boot files.
  2. I have been trying to get Windows OS Deployment to Macs using WDS working off and on for the past year or so but still haven't managed it. I have had no problems with getting Windows 8.1 to deploy, but 7 seems to fail each time. I am using WDS integrated with SCCM, have tried using the built in GPT partition maps and also using diskpart scripts as detailed here Deploy Windows on Macs using MDT. by Guillaume Remy with no success. I have just tried installing OS X clean, then running Boot Camp assistant, then booting from SCCM Boot media. The Windows files copy to the partition then task sequence still fails. If I try to boot from the partition I receive the standard windows 'No Bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key' message from the windows boot loader. Has anyone managed to get this working, any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks, Mark
  3. We did a schema extension of the AD to support Macs. Works rather well, and no longer need to use Mac servers.
