We want to import rooms into Fronter in a curriculum structure. I.e. All ICT rooms in the ICT corridor, all English Rooms in the English corridor. We can therefore control memory use on a departmental basis. Fronter will not write a script to do this and claim we are the only school that has requested this, to my mind, obvious structure. We would also like to change group properties en masse, again no other school has requested this. Has anyone else found Fronter difficult and has anyone else requested these changes?

Does anyone know how to turn off the 1 per day rule in t6?

Excuse me for posting a stupid question but ..... What are the advantages of acccess to Fronter going through Shibboleth? I understand it allows access to multiple systems with one username but what advantages are their when LgFL has just got fronter in the federation?

We are trialling Fronter and have a couple of issues. 1) If you want to share a course (learning path) you have to copy the whole path and resources into the room you want to use it in. Surely this is a massive waste of memory. 2) What happens in the new academic year when new rooms are imported? Do you lose all you old rooms? Have you got a boring maintenance job? Re doing all the front pages on your rooms? What if you have a 2 year course, like GCSE's for example? Is this VLE a memory and maintenance headache? Any help much appreciated Tony

Hi, we have integrated Fronter to SIMs, our import set up rooms for each class in year group corridors. We want to control memory usage on a departmental basis. So we need the rooms in departmental corridors instead, e.g all ICT rooms in the ICT corridor. FRonter does not seem to allow you to move rooms, so how can we set up our rooms in departmental corridors? Do we need to re-import from SIMs and how do we do it? Is there a hidden way to move rooms? Any help appreciatted Tony

We are trying to clean SIMs by running a data integrity check before we link it to Fronter. We get the message duplicate column gender, not being a SIMs expert this sounds to be a problem with the structure of the db not the data within it. Anybody got any ideas or fixes.

Hi, I need to run Java JDK and an IDE for it on a School RM Network . Obviously the network manager does not want the kids running programs on the network. Has anyone got any safe options I can pursue. The kids do not have to programatically access the network/access the internet, they could save their files to a Flash drive. Your help is really appreciatted.

Access wizards fail to work on some students accounts. When they try to use them an invalid object error appears. Some students have no problems using the wizards, the students profiles are identical. The Network is RM one. Any ideas Cheers
