OK, how can i deny them printing rights? I plan this to be just a temporary measure so I don't want to go through changing the structure just yet but I will bear that in mind

The 4 staff are members of the 'Staff' group so it's linked with the 'Staff' GPO they are also members of a second group 'Temp1' that group needs no access to one printer which is applied in the Staff GPO, if that makes more sense?

Hi, I have printers setup through GPO under our 'Staff' Policy which works 100%. What I want to do is disable one printer for a group of 4 members of staff. Whats the easiest way to go around this? Is a batch file for those users the way to go or is there another way? Thanks in advance, James

Hi, i'm rebuilding our site at the moment to move to joomla 1.5. I really like out current template but unfortunately it cant be moved over so i'm editting the new template to suit. What i'd like is a main menu background like here: Kibworth CE Primary School - Home and fit a similar thing on this one: Welcome to the Frontpage I can't seem to do it. Anyone point me in the right direction? I'm normally pretty good with these things. Cheers, James

Hmmm ok. So it could be just the data connection between the schools. If i speak to EMBC would they open this up for me do you think? We are leicestershire authority

I've made sure and opened that port in the firewall and still the same. I might just leave the pc on at home and log in to that first then back to the school. It's just really frustrating cos it works in every other circumstance!

Its all EMBC. We use them here and where i need to connect to. I cant see it being a firewall issue because I can get in from home (as do all the staff). I can also connect to any other RD just not this one from here!

Matt, don't mean to sound rude but I think you might be missing the point with the 3D with this film. It was filmed to give perspective. The object in 3D displayed in front of other objects was not neccessarily what you needed to look at. Its to resemble human sight rather than looking at a flat image. I personally loved the tech and thought that it is certainly the future of film! James

Hi, I've got an issue and it's got me and a friend baffled. I work in a school as a full time ict technician but do some work at another school part time aswell. The server in the other school as remote desktop all set up and works perfectly from hom. However when i'm at work (my regular post) I cannot log in at all. I can log into any other RD but just not the place that I really need. The error I get says: "This computer cannot connect to the remote computer. Try connecting again. If the problem continues, contact the owner of the remote computer or your network administrator." Thing is it work perfectly anywhere but when i'm at work. I did wonder if it was because we are connected to the same proxy server but really not sure. Any ideas? Cheers, James

yeah i'm on that tariff too. use about 1000 of the minutes but even with 1000 texts (with the bolt on) i still go over

Ok but surely (and correct me if i'm wrong) i shouldn't need to reinstall joomla if it was installed on the previous server? If i get EMBC to change the permissions on these folders then reinstall joomla would you say that will do it?

i ftp it to my machine here then re uploaded it then extracted the database out and installed it in the embc side then editted the config file to point to the db in the right place. I've also tried to reinstall joomla on the site but it seems like the permissions aren't correct for it to write the new config file at the end

Nope cant get into the admin side of the site. any extension i put after the domain i just get the same error page

I had the website up and running on a friends server whilst i was building it and had no problems. I uploaded it all and it just wont go. I dont understand it! How do I go about disabling the modules?

Hi, I've built a joomla website for our school and all was going correctly until we uploaded it to EMBC servers. I have editted the config file to point to the new database directory but it just wont have it, i just get the following message: What am I missing?? Why wont the bloody thing work?? Cheers, James
