  1. Yup. all that blah blah blah .... with cancel the only option besides waiting for it to load.
  2. I know that with images and setups on Novell and Windows XP that it is difficult to roll out new upgrades for some software. Has anyone had any problems using Serif software? Also any idea on how to remove the loading screen that appears when you run any Microsoft program students seem to click cancel and it causes some problems in Frontpage but now teachers are saying why does it do this everytime I log on it doesn't do it at other schools .... What I want to say ... go work there ... or tell them not to click cancel .... how easy can I stop this that from popping up? Thanks for all the help.
  3. I know I could post this in netware but I just wanted to know what things you allow teachers at your schools to do and not do. As administrators I am sure you can answer yes to all the questions but I would also like to know how long these tasks would take to set up. I am not trying to insult any technician or any teacher I am just trying to move things forward so that students can be in the best possible learning environment and to also look at reducing the mundane tasks for the technicians and stop some teachers from having something to bug me and them about. We are running Novell Netware and Windows Xp. So do your teachers have it and if not how long would it take to implement and would you bring in addition software or use features in Novell and Windows already provided. 1. Access to student folders 2. Ability to change passwords 3. Ability to filter/unfilter sites 4. Ability to suspend internet access 5. Ability to right click 6. Ability to have to create new student accounts 7. Access a student's computer to see what they are on 8. Ability to check CCTV footage on the computer
  4. Was wondering how hard it is to setup something with novell to allow come members of staff at my school to change passwords for students. I know some people have mentioned a web login that they have to access the user groups and then be able to change passwords. How hard is this to do?
