  1. Hi all, I have a run of about 50m of FTP cat5e cable. Some of the run (about 20m) shares trunking with 240v electricity cable, this was the reason I chose FTP over UTP, to give some protection against interference. However, I have since read that it will need to be earthed at one end. Is this absolutely necessary? Is FTP overkill, and will UTP do? How do I go about earthing the cable? The cable is also running power over ethernet using an injector/splitter arrangement. The cable runs from router>injector>--------->splitter>wireless access point. Thanks for any help/advice!
