  1. Here at Lord Grey we have been running Thin Clients for 10 years! Now got almost 800 desktops in total with over 600 being Thin Client. Feel free to email [email protected] for more details or send me a telephone number & we can sort out a chat or visit if you require. We use a company called Precedence Technologies, as support and hardware providers, who have been in the 'Thin' education market for over 10 years and support at least 300 schools as far as I know! We have tried a number and found these the most reliable and configurable.
  2. We have used Precedence for about 8 Years and now run a network with nearly 800 clients and 20 Citrix servers all of which can be managed remotely. The vast majority of clients are TCX boxes - a Precedence Product - which allows total flexibility on configuration and usage. There are some PCs which are also 'managed' through the Thin Client System. Very Highly recommended.
  3. Hi. Been having problems using MSSQL and BackupExec. Tried a new installation on a spare server, installed MSSQL with all the options ticked, then installed BackupExec 10d with MSSQL added. When creating a new backup job, the database is listed under the Server Local Selections, but when trying to select it, we receive the following error message "An error was encountered while attempting to browse the contents of SERVERNAME\DATABASENAME. A network connection to the server could not be established.", Backup Exec is installed on the same server as MS SQL. Symantec (Veritas) wont talk to us either, without a support contract. Anyone got any ideas what we're doing wrong?? Cheers Darren
