Hello! I’m new here! Annika, graphic design professor in the U.S. South (UGA — Go Dawgs!), and self-assigned administrator for our department’s newly leased CANON ImageRunner!
I’m trying to set up uniFLOW Online for students and faculty.
The setup: uniFLOW Online 2026.3.0, Canon imageRUNNER, MiCard reader, university art school. Onboarding ~100 users across four groups, with turnover each semester, so CSV import matters.
I have two questions, and I'd be glad to hear I've just missed something obvious (please be kind).
1. CSV IMPORT GENERATES NO CODES
CSV import creates the users and assigns them to the right groups, but generates no PIN and no Card Registration Code. The Identities tab then shows the "missing identities that are required for device authentication" warning, and no notification email goes out — presumably because there's no code to send.
Creating the same user manually works perfectly: both codes generated, no warning.
I already checked:
Settings > General settings > User management: "Auto-generate PIN code" and "Auto-generate Card Registration Code" both ticked.
Tried the CSV with empty PIN / CardRegistrationCode / CardNumber columns, and with those columns deleted entirely. Same result either way.
Settings > Import/Export has nothing relevant, just the CSV delimiter.
2. NO WAY TO RE-SEND OR REGENERATE
This is the part I find harder to believe, so please tell me I’m wrong. As far as I can see there is no administrator function to re-send a user’s credential email, or to generate missing identities for users who already exist. Bulk action(s) on the user list offers only “Download user data”.
So when the import above goes wrong, the only remedy I've found is deleting each affected user and recreating them manually, one at a time. That’s what I ended up doing for just the faculty, to test things out.
Even setting the bug aside, credential emails go astray for ordinary reasons — typo in an address, spam filter, mailbox not provisioned yet, user deletes it. If you're running a large or rotating population, how do you handle that? Delete and recreate every time?
I'm wondering whether this bug is invisible to most admins because you're provisioning from Entra ID / Google / AD rather than uploading a CSV, or because you write known card numbers into the import and don't rely on generated codes at all. If either is what you do, I'd be interested to hear how you set it up? It may be a better path for us regardless of whether this gets fixed.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
