I can totally see why that would bring someone back. FFXI has always been one of those games where the small details and slower pace made the world feel more alive than a lot of newer MMOs. A 2D project like Braver is a pretty cool way to experience that nostalgia without needing to jump straight into the full MMO grind.
Honestly, FFXI nowadays almost feels like a different game compared to the old days. With trusts and all the solo-friendly changes, you can actually enjoy a lot of the content at your own pace. Subbing again for the cost of a coffee each month isn't a bad deal if it gives you that old-school feeling back
