  1. My partner’s a trainee teacher and she’s been talking about how much paperwork goes into logging incidents, which got me curious what other schools are running for this. I am curious what other schools are running for this. I do IT in a sixth form and the wider question of how incidents and accidents get logged keeps coming up (accident books, behaviour, near-misses). From what I can tell it’s a real mix out there: some still on paper accident books, some using the behaviour/medical modules in their MIS (SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom), some on CPOMS for the safeguarding side, and a few on dedicated tools like Medical Tracker. Seems like a lot of places end up logging the same incident in two or three places. For those of you who admin this side of things: • What does your school actually use for incident/accident logging? • Is it integrated with your MIS or is it a separate application users have to log into? • How much of it is still paper vs digital? • Anything about the current setup that’s a pain to manage or that staff constantly moan about? Just trying to get a sense of what the landscape looks like beyond my own place. Cheers.
