I have another quick question. What packages do you use to design your screens?

We have recently moved into our new school and have 5 42inch LCD tvs dotted around the school. I hav ebeen playing around with the onlen system but have ran into a problem. I have created a background in photoshop but when i try to audition the image the screen just goes blank and does not display anything. I have tried th eimage in both PNG and JPG formats, any ideas
