About the Post
We are looking to appoint a proactive IT Technician to join our IT Support Team who provide comprehensive technical support to staff and pupils across both Twynham School and The Grange School sites, as well as periodic on-site support for other schools in our trust.
We are looking for an outstanding individual who will relish the opportunity to:
Champion the effective use of technology to enhance teaching, learning and staff support.
Provide frontline IT support, escalating complex issues to the School IT Manager or Core Services (‘central’ IT team).
Monitor and maintain physical/virtual servers, networks, broadband and telephony systems.
Support secure access management, including ID badges, user accounts and permissions.
Promote and maintain high standards of data security, safeguarding monitoring and suspicious activity reporting.
Configure, deploy and track devices using Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Trust inventory processes.
Resolve issues with printers and shared IT resources, ensuring smooth operation in classrooms and events.
Ensure compliance with software licensing, security checks, WEEE disposal and consumable stock levels.
Promote best practice across SharePoint sites, filing conventions and Trust-wide document management.
Collaborate with IT colleagues across the Trust to share expertise and drive continuous improvement.
Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.

Who we are looking for
We would love to hear from you if you:
Have a strong technical IT background, ideally with experience across multiple sites.
Have a broad technical skillset covering servers, networking, security, connectivity, device configuration, telephony, access control, licensing, storage, automation, helpdesk systems and remote working.
Have a good general education with GCSE English and Maths (grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
Have relevant technical certifications (e.g. Microsoft).
Have a collaborative, team focused approach.
Are a confident communicator able to engage clearly with staff and pupils without unnecessary technical jargon.
Have the ability to travel between Trust sites when needed.
Have flexibility to support occasional out of hours incidents or maintenance during quieter periods.
Experience within a school environment is advantageous, but not essential.
