  1. WiFi seems to be turned off.
  2. No, we’ve confirmed this isn’t a roaming issue. The students are sitting in the classroom working on their devices with no problems, and then the connection just suddenly drops. We haven’t found any switch, setting, or keystroke the students could be using to cause this (at least not without it being obvious), so we’re pretty stumped.
  3. In our case, it is consistently the same four users, and we have tested multiple devices with the same results. Recently, a staff member observed two of the students as they worked, and during that time the students were able to complete approximately an hour and a half of work without any connectivity issues. When the staff member briefly left the room to use the restroom, both students lost their connection. After reconnecting and once the staff member resumed monitoring, the students were able to work for an additional two hours without any issues.
  4. We’re seeing this same issue with four students in our district. Were you able to pinpoint the cause?
  5. I’m a new district technology supervisor and created an account here specifically to seek some guidance. I came across this thread while investigating a situation where a group of fifth graders consistently cause their assigned Chromebooks to lose Wi-Fi, while other students using the same devices do not experience any issues. We’ve had several internal and external tech-savvy individuals trying to identify the cause of this issue, but so far without success. I was hoping to ask whether you were ever able to determine what your first-grade student was doing in this scenario.
