I don't know if you have managed to resolve it but if you haven't try this. This is how I managed to get the 802.1x working with the wireless clients. Do not ask me how I found it but create a GPO to disable Virtualisation Based Security (VBS).There is a way to disable it through BIOS as well but easy to deploy using GPO. Go to: Computer Configuration>Policies>Administrative Template>System/Device Guard>Turn On Virtualisation Based Security to Disable. This method might not work for you or you might have already found a workaround for it.
