About SamIT

  1. Got a bit of a weird, inconsistent issue with my MIS deploying SIMS to devices and I was hoping someone has experience this before or had some ideas on what could be causing this For some time now, since roughly the start of the year when I try to deploy to a device, new or old I can see the install process begin on Solus3 deployment service and then the install fails with the following message- COM Error: Server execution failed (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80080005 (CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE)) I've had a few tickets in with sims support and each time they had a different cause of the issue and a different fix but nothing has worked so far. The only temporary fix is to restart my MIS server which isn't viable during the day. This will let the deployment service work fine for maybe a week or so and then the error returns. So far we've tried/checked the following: MIS can see and C$ to the target device Firewall isn't blocking anything Tried different credentials when beginning deployment Restarting deployment service Reinstalling entire deployment service by request of support Interestingly when I kick off the deployment I can navigate to the deployment location on the target device (Windows - ServiceProfiles) and see the installer there, so the MIS can see the device, send files to the device, but cant actually kick off the install Anyone encountered something like this before?
