No one said all the time - half the time I arrived and said OK where are your exercise books they said er? don't know often we had to hand out paper and pencils it was useless

I only worked in industry for 25 years so what would I know about industry standard other than as a freelancer only one place ever used creative suite on PC ((not for me)

When I was supply teaching I covered art often - Most of the schools I went in classes consisted of a splattered butler sink in the corner with powder paints and then pencils and paper for drawing maybe some charcoal but not much else. The classes often were poorly attended with half the kids not bothering and the ones that did often not really doing anything chatting staring out the window.I only ever visited two schools where they had Macs and Photoshop.

For a while I did supply teaching between contracts and was shocked to find kids in classes still using exercise books and pens and pencils. Even up to year 10. in some schools! There were computers in some classes e.g. IT but the majority were not. I'm sure there are some schools embracing tech? I would have thought kids teaching and learning were computerised by age 11 or 12 but it seems most not?
