Something that we're trying is creating a shortcut that references the "MSTEAMS:" protocol (literally a shortcut on the desktop that uses "MSTEAMS:" as the url, without the quotes). We're doing some testing, but it seems promising so far. Specifically we're trying to create a deployment that'll dump a shortcut to the desktop to either the new version or the old version...whichever the user is currently using.
