Key responsibilities of this role
Working remotely as part of a team to support Trust IT customers by diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across a wide range of technologies.
Acting as a first point of contact for customer IT support needs. Liasing with third parties on behalf of customers as and when required to resolve issues and managing work via our ticketing system.
Being able to demonstrate outstanding levels of customer care.
Working Environment
This role is a full time permanent role based at our customer sites in and around South Yorkshire, you must be able to drive for this role and have your own transport - mileage will be paid for business travel two and from sites.
Normal working hours are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday inclusive, but you may be required to work such additional hours as the demands of the business require.
Requirements
This support role would suit someone who is currently working in an educational environment but is not essential. An keen interest in IT and a passion for the job they do and who can demonstrate the following skills:

Strong understanding of Microsoft technologies including Windows desktop and server OS, Active Directory & associated roles and M365
Strong understanding of networking, security, VOIP and broadband & filtering technologies
Desirable
Any relevant formal qualifications in relation to Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet or ITIL subjects
Experience of working in education settings and SME settings
Understanding of MIS systems in use in education settings (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom etc)
