Can shared Macs now authenticate users against their Entra ID accounts if the device is in Intune? I read somewhere regarding the SSO plugin but im not sure if that apply to non-Shared devices?

Yep, completely agree. However, there were a few reasons from a learning and cost perspective that Surface Pros were chosen over other devices.

Are there any protective sleeves for the Surface Pro and Studio that can be branded and that can have a name tag on that anyone can recommend? I have found some hard cases for the Pro, but can’t find ones that can be branded What I’m also trying to find and I don’t know if they exist, is a laptop sleeve or small carry case that he a power bank built in, just so that students don’t loose them and again, if they were branded and with name tag on, even better! We’re rolling out Surfce devices for all students and somehow I don’t this they are going to last all day without power banks for each student. How does everyone else get round the battery life issue for those with surface devices on a 1:1 scheme? I’m looking at putting charging stations around site but this comes at a huge expense. Thanks

All our students bring in and use their own MacBook so at the moment we can use the alerts on the firewall to notify our safeguarding team when they are searching things on the internet due to the SSL decryption cert not on their devices. This means we are not able to effectively monitor them as per the recent KCSIE changes unless anyone else know of a better way to monitor BYOD clients?

Does it force the users to install the cert or can they carry on without it and not install the cert? Also do you use IIS for your landing page or is it part of Ruckus

How does everyone deploy the SSL decryption certificate to BYOD devices? We allow students and staff to use their own devices on the schools wifi but we need to properly monitor the internet traffic and search’s on these devices. Thanks

Hi Does anyone know a list of firewall rules we need to open on our firewall to allow Sky Q and Sky Glass to work properly? Sky Q work but voice control doesn't and sky glass doesn't work at all, probably as there is no dish. We have quite a few sky Q's and glass devices on our network. Thanks

A old teacher has requested all the documents in their Onedrive area as part an SAR so do we have to provide these legally? I thought documents created remained part of the property of the school? Thanks

Ive just setup the GPO for Onedrive to silently configure when a user logs in which is does and I've also setup the KFM but the redirection only works when i have created the Documents and Pictures folders in the users Onedrive manually so how can i configure the KFM GPO to create the folders in the users Onedrive automatically?

Does anyone know what the package name is of the windows mail app in Win 11 to block it using applocker VIA GPO? I cant seem to find it when adding the rule. Thanks

What manufacturers of devices are you using with hive? We got hive last year for use with Toshiba MFPs and we had to sack it off as it just didn’t work properly

Has any else had the issue where by Airprint printers just start asking for user credentials? It seems to be spreading here over the last few years and were not sure how to solve it. It seems like as soon as the Mac OS or iOS is updated, the clients ask for authentication but no credentials works such as domain or printer credentials Edit: we also dont use any print management software such as papercut Thanks

We have our VLANs setup per building and as a consequence we have over 60 VLANs with 130 Switches across the campus. Is it better to setup the VLANs for device types rather than per building? One issue we get is that when devices move buildings, they have to get a new DHCP address which in itself causes issues with client connectivity. Thanks

Im trying to block the mail app using applocker but i cant seem to find the rule name for the app so does anyone know what this is? Also ive set the rules below to block both XBOX apps but its only blocking the XBOX game bar app and not the other xbox app. If anyone has a full list of the rules to block the inbuild apps for Win 11 that would be really useful. EDIT: i also need to block the inbuild teams app within Win 11 as we deploy the Office Teams client. Thanks

Im getting the error below in eventviewer when the .bin is trying to be copied into the %localappdata%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.StartMenuExperienceHost_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState directory: "Group Policy Object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80070005 Access is denied.' This error was suppressed" Ive store the start.bin file in the Netlogon folder and ive also checked the directory paths in the GPO to make sure they are correct. Any ideas?

Our deployment of Office 2019 is no longer working and i cant work out why? We deploy via SCCM but im trying to test the install locally and reference the config.xml file but i get the error: "We're sorry we cant continue because we wern't able to download a required file. Error code 30182-2013 (2)" I'm trying to deploy on windows 11. Thnaks

Hi We have an Extreme IQ wifi network with around 550 AP's (on prem controller) and we authenticate users using a PPSK. We get a really strange issue where it doesn't matter which AP, every couple of days we have random clients on a few AP's where the users cant authenticate using their PPSK. It doesn't happen on all clients trying to connect to that AP and the only way we can resolve it to restart the AP or change the users PPSK. Sometime will be okay if the users try's to connect to a different AP and other times not. We're not 100% sure but at this stage it only seems to be Macbooks but then the majority of our devices are Macbooks. The logs in Extreme aren't particularly helpful but it keeps like the clients are getting locked? We cant keep restarting APs every few days!
