  • Biography
    For a guy with such a terrifyingly ordinary name, I’ve been blessed with a pretty extraordinary life so far. Before landing the amazing EMEA & APAC Marketing Manager role here at Securly, I had a wild mixture of jobs ranging from being an English teacher at a college to singing all across the UK as part of a rock band.

    For the past four years, I’ve been part of a global events agency working in content creation, copywriting and marketing – a role I instantly fell in love with.

    Combining a decade of eclectic experience with my degree in English & Creative Writing, it allowed me to embrace my love for storytelling and crafting meaningful engagement for our audiences – something I’m so excited to bring to Securly!

    Happy Monday everyone! My name’s Adam Smith and I’m the new Marketing Manager for Securly in the UK – it’s great to be a part of the EduGeek community! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and the back-to-school period has been a successful one (and one without too many headaches!). I wanted to kick off my contributions and conversation here with something really exciting Securly have got coming up this week: our Educational Wellness Week. As part of the week, we’re hosting a series of digital events to discuss some of modern education’s biggest barriers for mental wellness and general wellbeing for both students and staff alike. And it all kicks off TODAY! These sessions are designed with teachers, parents and IT staff in mind and, as such, I wanted to let you all know first-hand about this event! I think you’ll find the topics of discussion both useful and interesting, and I would love to see you and your colleagues at the webinars. I’m sure you’ll gain a lot of helpful advice and information from them via our panels of experts. If you needed any further convincing, we’re also running a raffle-style prize giveaway to win an iPad and a bundle of wellness-related gifts worth over £1000 for your school or academy.
