I've decided to abandon my efforts to get the apple remote to work with my Keyspan IR receiver. Why? Because I was able to remap my Keyspan remote to work BEAUTIFULLY with EyeTV's front row-like interface. Menu = launch front row (cmd-escape) Cycle = move back in front row menu (escape) Arrow_Up = move up in front row menu (UpArrow) Arrow_Down = move down in front row menu (DownArrow) Select = select front row menu choice (Return) Now I still have the other buttons available on Keyspan's digital media remote to do things like changing volume, fast-forwarding, etc. It's working very well for me.

I'm having the same trouble with "unrecognized data" after trying the .REM and .MAP files from SYSMAN_MK and rahaman. I tried to use the terminal program NAPSYEK to monitor the IR signals sent to my Keyspan IR receiver. This worked initially, but no after updating to the latest Keyspan software (v2.4b4). I updated because the older version somehow stopped working.
