NHSG is the leading school for girls in the north of England and part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) – the largest network of independent girls’ schools in the UK. On appointment to the role of ICT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the management, installation, maintenance, availability and integrity of the School’s ICT infrastructure, hardware and software. You will manage a small team of technical staff, dedicated to providing the best possible support for colleagues and pupils across both our primary (1-1 iPads) and secondary (BYOD) settings. As a key member of both the school’s Operations Management Team and the Digital Strategy Group, you will assume managerial responsibility for the School’s ICT assets and budget and will work closely with key colleagues to ensure the school’s key priorities for the use of technology are met. Working alongside Head Office colleagues, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the school’s ICT systems are developed and maintained in-line with the operational and compliance requirements of the GDST, ensuring the integrity, security and inter-operability of relevant systems within school and within the Trust. MCSA/MCSE and ITIL foundation level qualifications are essential for this post as is a passion for delivering first class customer service to assure a reliable, consistent and high quality user experience at all times. The ICT Support Technician will be joining the Technical Support Team responsible for the management, installation, maintenance, availability and integrity of the School’s ICT systems. They will work under the direction of the ICT Operations Manager and will be dedicated to providing the best possible support for staff and students alike. They will help to manage the School’s ICT assets and budget. They will work closely with colleagues and students to ensure users get the best possible benefit from the systems and services the school provides. As the school is part of the GDST, the work of the Technical Support Team also supports the needs of our group of schools. Systems must be developed and maintained in-line with the operational requirements of both NHSG and the wider group of schools, so the post holder will also have to consider the broader needs of the whole network. NVQ or HNC qualifications in IT or related field, or no less than 12 months experience in a technical support role would be required, along with a passion for delivering first-class customer service.
