  1. Exactly, I never once said these servers were used in an educational/company environment as they are not. I was just testing to see if my issue was just windows 7 or Server 2008R2 as well, yet so many people seem to think I am using windows server 2008r2 in an educational/company environment
  2. And I don’t run a company/school environment. Thanks for your concern
  3. Just to clear somethings up: I don't use windows server 2008r2 for servers that serve a purpose in a company/school environment. It was just for testing to see if it was just windows 7 or 2008r2 as well. The reason I wanted to use Windows 7 on my main pc was because I like windows 7 and I dont really care about security updates lol. although i probably should...
  4. it is just personal use. I would always upgrade servers that served an actually purpose... if i could be arsed
  5. Hi, Thanks for your reply. Yes I would get away with running it in a VM however I mainly use VMs for my lab servers. I find it nicer to be able to use windows 7 on my main so I just use a skin on 8.1 which works fine. Also Hyper-V seems to be very slow when using Windows server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 for some odd reason... Presuming they did it on purpose as windows 7 is out of support. Thanks, Milo.
  6. Hi, Thanks for your reply, considering most of the hardware is either late 2020-early 2021 I’m presuming that will be the issue . Quite sad as my favourite OS was windows 7. Decided to go with 11 for now but might go down to 8.1 and put a 7 skin on it. Thanks, Milo.
  7. Hi, I've tried to install windows 7 on my main computer however when installing, it either installs successfully but disabled my keyboard and mouse, or it finishes, reboots and then says B1InitialiseLibrary failed 0xc000009a. Has anyone else had this and managed to fix it? Thanks.
  8. should be in VLSC by now surely right?
