The successful candidate will play an essential role in supporting the AV & Video Production Manager in delivering professional audio-visual services to Tonbridge School. The responsibilities will encompass setting up audio and video equipment for live-streamed events, proficiently recording and editing audio and video content, and ensuring the seamless operation of audio-visual systems across the School. The successful candidate will have proven experience in live event audio setup and audio engineering and strong knowledge and experience with AV systems and equipment, including soundboard/mixing desk, projectors, screens and other related equipment. Experience using Planet eStream or other room capture equipment would be beneficial but not essential. This is a full-time, all-year-round post of 37.5 hours a week, including Saturdays. The successful candidate will be an active member of the IT Support Team. They will offer escalated support services to the School community alongside the IT Support Technicians. They will lead by example and demonstrate strong expertise and time management to the rest of the team. This role also requires excellent leadership, mentoring and service desk management skills. The successful candidate will have proven experience in developing professional and effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders, effective teamwork and collaboration skills and self-motivation and the ability to work independently. This is a full-time, all-year-round post of 37.5 hours a week, including Saturdays. This role does not have an on-call element, but flexibility is necessary, working Monday to Friday 08:00/08:30 to 16:30/17:00. In addition, there will, from time to time, be a requirement for involvement in issue resolution management outside of these core hours. Part of a rota covering IT Support for approximately one in four Saturdays between 08:30 and 12:30 with time off in lieu for hours worked. Closing Date: Friday 13 October at 12 noon

As one of the initial points of contact for IT helpdesk requests, the IT Support Technician provides first and second line support, ensuring that requests are responded to promptly and issues resolved or escalated within the appropriate SLAs. Providing technical support to the Tonbridge School community, including students and staff, the IT Support Technician must be technically knowledgeable and have a strong customer focus. In addition, they must ensure that excellent IT support is provided and exceptional customer service is maintained at all times. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES IT Support Provide first and second line IT Helpdesk support to Tonbridge staff and pupils. Hardware and software support of school devices, primarily Windows devices but also some Apple computers, To provide support for printers, telephones, and network equipment. Fault diagnosis and repairs to a wide range of end-user devices, including school domain joined and pupil-owned laptops, tablets and mobile phones. User support for standard software packages, including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud apps, and other bespoke systems. Use of Helpdesk facility and management of calls from inception to conclusion. Call management of own calls and cover if required for other calls. Escalating issues to the right person to complete the task. The movement of items such as PCs, monitors and larger objects where required - adhering to health and safety and manual handling guidelines. The installation and support of audio-visual and video conferencing solutions, supporting events when needed, working with the AV Technician. Understand and comply with procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality. IT Security Cyber Security awareness is an essential part of all roles within the IT Support Team at Tonbridge School. You will: · Have a fundamental understanding of the risks posed by cyber security; · Understand basic troubleshooting principles relating to identified security threats; · Work securely, understanding the need to ensure that staff and student data is protected at all times. · Identify a data breach or risk of, and respond according to the School's data protection procedures. HOURS OF WORK This role does not have an on-call element, but flexibility is necessary, working Monday to Friday 08:00/08:30 to 16:30/17:00. In addition, there will, from time to time, be a requirement for involvement in issue resolution management outside of these core hours. Part of a rota covering IT Support on Saturdays between 08:30 and 12:30 with Time of In Liu for hours worked. Approximately one Saturday in four. On rare occasions, you may be required to travel between Tonbridge School and The New Beacon School, Sevenoaks. This position is 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. BENEFITS Annual salary of between £24,000 and £28,000 according to experience. Option to join the School's Standard Life Pension Scheme / Pensions Trust Pension Scheme. Free Lunch provided during term time. 20-days paid holiday (plus bank holidays) increasing to 25 days after five years.
