the times aren't the same and i have tried the gpupdate and still nothing, I tried pinging from the server to one of the client machines and it timed out but i could ping from the client to the server

Hi, I am setting up a server for a family members business (Server 2008) I need to create a Group Policy to force the standard windows classic theme, disable right click etc. Also to set up remoteapps, I have tried to create the policy but it isnt on the staffs pc's So far I have: created a new OU with the staff in used the Group Policy Management tool to create the policy for users but nothing seems to be working thanks chris

Thanks for the reply would it be better then to use 2008? Because he has both but I thought that server 2003 was better for some reason. Then am I right in thinking we could use remote apps?

Hi, I as you can see a complete newbie with server 2003 and i'm I have nevertheless installed it for a family members business what needs to happen is I need to create a group policy so then all of the users can't right click, change wallpapers, run their own .exe files, standard old task bar etc. However 'the boss' of the company would like to be able to do these things and have no limits on his account. So how would I have two separate group policies for the users i.e the staff and the manager? Also how would I use 'remote programs' I think it's called so then the staff's pc get the programs off the server? Thanks Chris
