Promethean support have told me to disconnect from the VPN, then launch ActivInspire, then reconnect to the VPN. For whatever reason this does actually work. So now I have tell the teachers that this is the "solution".

I'm testing the VPN connection using the Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone. It just hangs on the splash screen, and as soon as I disconnect from my phone and connect to the local Wi-Fi it goes straight into ActivInspire.

I configured an admin.ini using the template on their site https://support.prometheanworld.com/article/1123/ Then dropped it into the activinspire install folder. It's still taking forever through the VPN, unfortunately

We are using ActivInspire 2.21.69365 on Windows. We have the typical AD setup with redirected documents. We also have a VPN for connecting externally. While logged in to a local account, ActivInspire will launch in a few secondsWhile logged in to a network account connected locally it will take a bit longer, around 30-40 secondsWhile logged in to a network account, but through our Direct Access VPN, it will take 20+ minutes to launch As far as I know this has not been an issue with any other programme. Anyone know what's causing this?
