  1. The Stamford Schools are now looking for an IT Technician to join our IT department. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to join the Stamford Schools. The IT Services Team at the Stamford Endowed Schools is a passionate team comprising of 12 staff. The Schools have an aspiration to be an IT Leader and recently invested £2m in our Switch and Wireless infrastructure and as well as a 1-2-1 device provision for all pupils from Year 4 to Year 13 to help prepare our students with the digital skills for the future. As the Schools focus on our strategic objective “class of 2030”, we are expanding our team with this exciting role operating across our three sites, with a primary base at Stamford School. We are looking for a technician with a passion for technology and how it can support the schools academically and operationally. This role apart of the technical support team providing 1st and 2nd line support led by the Head of IT and Data. Applicants must have a good understanding of IT technologies and at least 2 years previous experience. This role will also provide support and training to our staff and pupils throughout the schools, specifically around their devices and the software they use. As the Schools’ focus on our strategic objective “class of 2030”, we are expanding our team with this exciting role operating across our three sites, initially with a primary base at Stamford High School. The Schools have recently invested £0.5m on an infrastructure project and £1.4m on a 1-2-1 device provision for all pupils from Year 4 to Year 13 to help prepare our students with the digital skills for the future. We are looking for a technician with experience in the education sector although desirable but not essential. However, applicants must have a good understanding of IT technologies and at least 2 years’ previous experience. This role will be provide support to our 2000 devices, including all users in the Stamford Schools community. The IT Technician role is 37.5 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 Monday – Friday and will on occasions be required to work on events promoting the schools which may involve some out of normal hours working for which notice will be given. Technology and Systems Trainer Location: Stamford, Lincolnshire Closing Date: Wednesday 30 June 2021 At Stamford Endowed School we have an exciting opportunity for a Technology and Systems Trainer. The Technology and Systems Trainer is part of the development team providing coaching and training to all staff, working alongside the Director of IT and the wider IT Strategy Group. This role will work from the central IT Services Department office at Stamford School, but attributes time on a rough split of 40% to Stamford School, 40% to Stamford High School and 20% to Stamford Junior School, travelling to the various sites to facilitate the role. The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, 08:30-17:00 Monday – Friday and will on occasions be required to work later than 5pm to fulfil their role.
