  1. Hi Will, The issue began yesterday when many of the Macs on our network began sending 2.3M files in the background to IP addresses hosted by Akamai. This resulted in a lot of traffic being sent to these external hosts, which caused the outage and got flagged up by our network scanners. All the Macs have Adobe CC and MSoft 365 on (both of which use Akamai servers), so I'm wondering if this was file synching?
  2. Hi everyone, I'm Chris (a Mac tech at Dudley College of Technology in the UK) and I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light on an issue we experienced yesterday. At around 4pm, several Macs on our network contacted some IP addresses associated with Akamai Technologies (a content delivery network used by Apple, Adobe and many others), but our local DNS couldn't resolve these requests...and, unfortunately, this brought our network down for about an hour until these IP addresses were blocked by our IT team. Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, how did you resolve it? The IP address in question were: 2.19.117.75 and 2.19.117.100. Thanks in advance for your help :-)
