I am experiencing the exact same issue. Users have Office 2007 in a MOSS 2007 environment. When they click on a file they are prompted to Read-Only or Edit. If Read-Only in selected, they are able to edit the file and save the modified version back to the library. I'd like avoid using Check In/Check Out due to the users in our organization. Does anyone have a solution or suggestion? Thanks
