Hi All, I'm currently looking to re-configure our group policies in our computer labs, so students are able to use the software they need without being too restricted. Would anyone be willing to share ideas or settings on how they've configured theirs? I have considered setting up VM's but on further thought's i don't feel this would be suitable.

Depending on how big the image is, in the past i've exported the image from WDS and copied and pasted the .wim file into the source folder, on to a bootable Window usb just have to make sure you rename your wim to install.wim. Not the best solution as images can be massive but it works!

@ticktock @2097 Thanks for the responses, i gave up in the end and went down the local profile route. Shame mandatory profiles don't work well anymore but it is what it is.

Hi Everyone, I'm trying to configure a mandatory profile for Windows 1909.1 Education. The issue i'm currently having is apps like calculator and photos etc... will not open, when you try to open then they instantly close. The profile has been configured through audit mode and then copied to a sever share. The share on the server has the following permissions: All application packages = full control Authenticated users = read & execute System = full control Administrators = full control When i loaded in the ntuser.dat into regedit i changed the permissions to the following: All application packages = full control Authenticated users = full control System = full control Administrators = full control Within group policy i've set the following policy 'Allow deployment operations in special operations' Enabled Any help would be appreciated!
