  1. Update: spoke a bit too soon, after more mucking around trying to get the problem to occur again after relinking OneDrive, I did break it. Turning off OneDrive seems to be a reliable fix.
  2. Well I couldn't reproduce it on the VM, but after some kernel debugging I guessed that it was a problem with one of my 'cloud' drives, and it turned out that it was a problem with OneDrive. I unlinked my account (ie logged out of OneDrive), and then relinked (logged back in), and the problem seems to have gone away. I also moved the 'old' OneDrive folder away so that a new one was created. I'd be curious to know if this helps your errant laptop!
  3. ah ok thx. mine happens with a specific software combination (running X410, then running Wireguard and trying to open any file dialog). that seems to reproduce it reliably. i suspect either some sort of misconfiguration or some other software is causing issues that show up in bindflt. i had tried 2004 briefly before rolling it back, but i've since done a 'repair' install which didn't fix it. i'm tired of constantly BSOD'ing my main machine, so currently setting up a VM to see if I can reproduce it on that and narrow down the cause.
  4. did you ever get to the bottom of this? i am having the same problem now.
