About Red_Barchetta

  1. Have done this with a standard qwerty and a large coloured key model for a student. No problem at all.
  2. Have had a similar problem with the power saving on USB stopping the keyboard/mouse bringing a machine out of power save. I turn it off bby default when setting any machine up now.
  3. Leaps and Bounds - if the music doesn't send you doolally
  4. This seems to be the issues with BBC sites. Uninstall all adobe plugins and clear out any reg entries and then reinstall latest versions. Do all whilst hopping on one leg backwards in a counter-clockwise direction
  5. Long ago when I was a nurse, it always had to be 2 members of staff giving out drugs. One to check the other. Surely a care home should have some similar procedure/protocol in place? If a patient couldn't confirm their name, we had to check their ID bracelet to make sure it was the right person. I would want an enquiry held into what happened if that were my relative.
  6. Magnification is disabled by default. Try holding down the windows key and press U. This should bring up the utility manager with narrator speech running and magnification disabled. Magnification can then be enabled and speech disabled (if you want).
  7. I'd go for that, or driver controller died (and it's probably integrated on the MoBo.
  8. The only bit of networking kit I've ever managed to kill completely was a LinkSys WAP.... It was also a swine to set up initially. I currently use Belkin WAP's, which have never been any trouble to install.
  9. Dunno if it's the same, but anythings worth a try
  10. No parallel port and it gets no further than immediatley after the Toshiba/BIOS spalsh screen. Toshiba want £100 + to reset the it on a RTB!!! Thanks for the suggestions. RB
  11. Hi Does anyone know how to reset the BIOS password for an A300? The school swear they've never set one and Toshiba deny all knowledge. Thanks R
