Yes it successfully joined the domain the the domain admin accounts are local admins. I think maybe I was expecting something that won’t happen until I create local admins via Group Policy?

I now understand the flawed thinking of using a domain account, but can I really use the local administrator account for this since it is disabled by default? I am rolling out customized images.

Hello, I have created two answer files (pe.xml and postpe.xml). My goal was to have it completely unattended and it is mostly working. The one thing I cannot seem to get to work is that when it automatically logs into the client OS the account it logs in with does not have any local administrator rights. I have tried using Domain Users and Domain Administrators in my .xml file to no avail. I feel I am missing something very basic as I am quite new to this, but I simply cannot narrow it down. Any guidance would be MUCH appreciated.

I have had our NetAdmin check all of his policies and there are none that should be disabling the Administrator account. We have about 6 images and this is happening on only two of them. All images are built from a default gold image. Could be that something that was installed onto the gold image is causing this, but that is not an expected behavior...at least not one that I can make a lot of sense out of. It has been a very curious and frustrating issue indeed.

Windows 10 - 1809 I have enabled the built-in Administrator account but as soon as I log off of any account I use to enable it the Administrator account reverts to being disabled and I cannot log into it. Interestingly I booted up in Safe Mode and enabled the Administrator account, rebooted and was able to then log into the Administrator account, while still logged in I checked the Administrator account in Manage and it was still disabled and I was therefore unable to log into it again. I need this account on my client machines in order to push down software to them.
