Afternoon, I hope you are all well and safe in these weird circumstances. Now something has baffled me today (I am relatively new to SIMS) and I am sure this is something very simple and its me not doing something properly. I have been creating new staff this afternoon, so I create staff record - pls note our school do not use SIMS to hold personal info about our staff so we put the bare minimum in - I then go to create them as a user and I have noticed that some of them have roles as Employee, Teacher, User and Agent and some only have the role of Employee, Teacher and User. I have compared how I have set them up and I can see no difference so I am confused as to why some have the role of agent. What have I not done for them to have the agent role and also how important is it? I have checked some current teachers and they all seem to have the role of agent as well. Any thoughts and guidance would be great Thank you

HI, Please help! On Friday I did some TT changes in Nova, pulled it across to SIMS, checked all the changes were reflected in SIMS and all hunky dory! This morning, the registration session is not showing on staff or students TT's in SIMS however all looks good in Nova T6, staff are assigned to these session in Nova. Anybody know how or why this has happened? And more importantly, how I resolve it? Spent 30 mins on the phone to Capita this morning and they have no idea whats happened so they have opened a case and I am waiting for them to call me back. Thanks

Good Morning, Looking for some help for a balls up I made, aaarrggghhhh Our attendance officer asked me to change the heading of an aspect, which I did and this has now wiped out all the data which was in that column. Is there any way, I can get that data back??

Hi All, I have been asked if there is way we can run a report from the cover diary in SIMS where we can specify the absence type and a date range? Any one have any ideas if and how we do this?

Thank you :-) I did things back to front and created an user before a staff record was created, doh! I made the old user inactive, set up a new one and attach his employee record to it and it resolved the issue. What's the implications of now having a user with the same name, 1 active user and 1 inactive user? I assume there should be no impact as I would imagine schools have genuine staff with the same name.

Hi All, Really really stupid question (I am new to SIMS and my Data Manager role) I have a new member of staff who I have set up, TT is in SIMS, a register is in SIMS however on his homepage he has nothing - other teachers have their TT's showing there and also use their homepage to take the registers. Why would his be blank? Have I done something wrong when setting him up? The only thing I can see different between him and other teachers, is when I go to his user details, his SIMS role is User and the other teachers are employees as well. Does this make a difference? Any help would be appreciated - thanks
