Always worth checking the DMS settings (Tools > Setups > Document Management) as well. If the Document Management Settings are wrong, SIMS client will spend a good minute or two looking for the DMS, before timing out/giving up and finally logging into SIMS. It's caught me out a few times in the past. (Oh and also, make sure it's not trying to go through the proxy! - again caught me out before)

[sims] Capita is trying to sell off non-core businesses (SIMS is for sale)

LA support tech dude here. I'm in two minds honestly. We support SIMS, and this news isn't going to convince Schools to hold onto SIMS 7 for much longer. Many are already looking to jump ship and this may well be the push they need. The expectation of SIMS Primary has kept some onboard; 'lets wait and see if new SIMS is any good'. But with it still only being half a product (even though it's had the longest dev time in the history of space and time) plus this news, probably means it's not going to be a valid option any time soon. On the flip side, if there is a mass exodus of SIMS, most other suppliers won't be able to cope with support demands so I'm sure there'll be some scope for ongoing support etc. It's a strange one! I think we're in for a bumpy ride either way -
We discovered our issue was a weird SIMS bug! Long story short, if we go into SIMS Services and test it always fails. Once failed, it locks the address validation down so if you go to a pupil record and try to validate it fails. However, if you open SIMS (DO NOT go to SIMS Services) and go straight to a pupil record and validate, it works just fine.

GDPR isn't my strong point but, surely this is considered a data breach under GDPR? As email addresses are considered as Personal Data?

Has Upgrade been discussed here? It's an 2018 film but I watched it in 2019 and it was probably one of my favourites. It's brilliant and definitely worth a watch. It's a relatively low budget movie described as a Cyberpunk Action Body Horror. It's full of dark humour, crazy action and is somewhat thought provoking. It's not scary (it has no jump scares etc) but it is graphic and very violent. Worth a watch!

Yeah it's incredibly well put together. I too spent some time looking for cuts. The only one I found to be a little janky was the big foreground rock in the river sequence! Overall though, brilliant film definitely worth the hype.

Adored the comic series (there's also a really cool, full-cast Audio book on Audible that's worth checking out) so can't wait for this!

This! Surely there's so many things that should have been prioritised over this? Apparently someone was offended so it jumped to the top of the list
