1. SOLUS3 is a mess at the moment, but surely the best thing to do at the moment is to install it on all your servers. While contining to use SOLUS2 until the new release is available (end of May/beginning of June). With the new design you can then configure and deploy easily... apparently.
 2. Went to a Capita SUS yesterday and they announced that SOLUS2 will be no longer supported after the Autumn 2014 release and will therefore not authorsie any updates after that. (Spring 2015 onwards) Did anyone know about this? If not, will you be able to get all your schools on SOLUS3 before Spring 2015?
 3. Go for a Lenovo Yoga 8 (£150) or Yoga 10 (£200)
 4. Full time anaylst at a Local Authority.
 5. I had a years work experience, wheareas the graduate didn't. With a degreee you have the potential to get a decent job in the future, but without the expereince it must be tough to get started. I am in a good position where i can afford to do more qualifications/certificates in my spare time.
 6. Go for an IT apprenticeship. I did mine at a high-school and then got a full-time job straight away. I remember there was someone else at the interviews who had a degree in IT.
 7. Update on Supportnet

SOLUS3 issues

Although we have moved SOLUS3 to new more powerful servers they are running at 100% leading to issues in the field. We are working to understand why this is occurring as no software changes have taken place.
