Just to ask as well how does extracting of information from bromcom work. Can you auto schedule reports? Can you query the database directly? Also when you say the reporting engine in Bromcom is not as good how do you mean

There was a suggestion from a member of staff about moving from SIMS to Bromcom. I just want to find out if other schools have migrated and how they find bromcom in comparison to SIMS. In patricular how do you find extracting information from Bromcom. Is schools able to have access to the database?

Potetially why it might be interesting to see if this is really going to support schools enough. Do you know when this may potentially be completed.

Its from a potetial research point of view. I want to know what they are doing which will reduce the amount of data collection data managers and schools have to do I also saw the website but there is not much info about it

Hi All I have recently taken over admissions and unfortunately my LEA only provides the student information via CSV and therefore manually update SIMS admissions. At the moment our school is also getting them to fill in a student information form with further information and I am not prepared to manually update SIMS with this as well However I think I wasted a lot of time here and I should have just emailed the primary schools and get them to send us the CTF files rather than updating SIMS admissions manually. I just want to find out from other people when they normally ask primary schools to send over CTF files? As if I can get the CTF files early then all that needs to be done is to check that there is no information that needs to be updated based on the information form

Hi All Just had a look at the power BI (free version) and thinking of setting it up for our school as a data analysis tools for subject leaders and SLT instead of my current system of exporting data onto excel from SIMS. I also think it has lots of potential and more flexible compared to buying a package such as 4matrix. I just want to find out if other schools are using it and for advise if you are using Power BI

Hi All Our school is thinking about moving to Google Cloud however from a data perspective I am curious about a few things. I wanted to ask schools who are using google cloud do you still have microsoft office avaliable for staff and students to use or are you no longer using office at all? If schools want to use microsoft office and use google cloud do you have to still pay for office 365 or can school purchase a standalone office? At the moment I use excel and in particular use marcos to extract data from SIMS which I will no longer be able to use if the school decides to use google and no longer have office. I also understand that things like google sheets have limited functionality.

Hi I was wondering if anyone can help. We have been having issues where data in assessment manager is going missing. Normally if it is one or two people who complain I would normally ignore but a high number of people have been complaining and I noticed speed issues with SIMS as well. Have other people had this problem and if so any potential solutions to this? Thanks

Also the same here timetabled hours. But we have students doing all sorts of courses and so doing the learning hours for post 16 took us a long time to do and check. Also did anyone have problems with course manager. Sometimes I felt like I was doing something then I go back later on and the changes made were no longer there
