Hi All, I have been tasked with setting up Radius with Smoothwall via our Meraki wireless network. I wondered if there is anyone else here that has already completed this process. I understand Meraki needs a public IP for radius however there doesn't appear to be much information after this as to how it is then linked and setup. Any pointers would be appreciated Many thanks

Centralised contacts for Mobile Phones
tobiasclarity replied to tobiasclarity's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Hi, Thank you, i have had a look at this but unfortunately doesn't fully fulfill our requirements in that it will show the user when they are calling the phone etc This is a really tough one and trivial at that! i cant believe we are the only school looking for a solution to this issue. Of course the main option is to manually input a contacts database onto each phone but we have a lot of phones and it makes it a nightmare should there be any changes to be made. -

Thank you, couple of questions if i may: Can this be a read only environment so they cant make any changes Does it show the person calling them if the contact is within this app and not native to the phone -

Hi All, I am looking for a stable centralised solution we can maintain the schools phone contacts across the schools mobile phones. This is the one thing i have never fully resolved and am currently using contacts on an old Mac server and porting them through via MDM to the mobiles. Issue with this is that you cant set it as read only so if someone changes a contact on their mobile phone it changes it for every mobile phone across site and equally if they manage to add a contact to the schools phone list it replicates to everyone's phones also. Any recommendations or work-arounds would be appreciated, i cant believe i am the only school here needing to have a set contacts list on multiple mobile phones but the last time i spent a long time looking into this and solutions i gained zero traction Cheers

Hi Mark, Did you ever find a way of doing this to stop users being able to then add and change? so read only in a sense. Cheers

Hi, I want to be able to have centralized contacts distributed to all our MDM iPhones. I have figured out how to get the contacts from the Mac server through our MDM to the handsets however the only main part i am now stumbling on is having Read Only access. Currently the user could edit said distributed contacts and edit them which would then sync back and sync to every other phone. There must be a way round this or maybe a solution you are using that can maybe point me in a better direction as i feel i am just going round in circles here Any help would really be appreciated

Hi All, Just wanted to pick brains and see if anyone has any ideas, Currently anything we are changing whether it be removing or adding to DNS reverts overnight. I deleted an entry yesterday, came in this morning and it is back again. I cant seem to see what is causing this at all. We had an issue also where we needed to change the IP address of an entry and the next day it again had reverted back to the old entry with the old address. Has anyone else had this or have any clue as to what is happening, Much appreciated

Hi, Does anyone know of an easy way (by means of application etc) to backup a folder and contents to Sharepoint at scheduled intervals? We have a drive we want to have replicated offsite however i don't want this hitting our existing enterprise backup solution as we will go over quota. We do however have shed loads of space available in Sharepoint. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Cheers All

Hi All, We are looking to buy an additional SAN to upgrade our existing HP P2000 G3 making this then our secondary storage. We are using VMWare at the moment also as a side note. I just wondered what everyone is currently using and your thoughts. We have been looking at Nimble and Dell Equallogic. We are leaning more towards Nimble however would be great to hear other opinions before we hit the button. Cheers all
