KB2525332 stopped folder redirection

Hi all i was having vthe issue where it was taking a long time for folder redirection to run on our Windows Server 2008 R2 terminal server (sorry remote desktop server). So upon trawling through the internet and the wikis for this site i downloaded the KB2525332 Hotfix and ran it.

I must admit it did stop the folder redirection hanging during logon, however now folder redirection doesnt work at all and all the pupils homespaces and start menus are now not working correctly.

So i though no worries just uninstall the hotfix and put up with longer logons, marvelous i thought however after unistalling the hotfix, folder redirection is still broken. I have even tried replacing the shell32.dll file with a version from a working server and its not helped. Anyone got any ideas of what else i could do, as i dont fancy having to reinstall the whole thing.

I had the exact same issue.

 

put the below in notpad and save it as a .reg file and run it. That fixes it, but the redirect is still slow.

 

I still havent found a solution to get it going faster. I have made a post on here about it.

Got it working and users start menus have reappeared. Phew thats saved me two days work.

 

logins are slow again, but i would rather that than not start menu.
