sending email to distribution list via Outlook

When i send an email to All Staff for instance, when they receive it, they see every name on that list in their email. It's not a massive problem but looks a mess.

 

I've tried putting me as an alias of undisclosed in the TO: and then allstaff in the BCC: but that just ends up looking like i've sent it to myself somehow?

 

Any other neat tricks people have picked up?

I've always just done it as BCC never bothered with anything in the TO box. But ours does show the group in outlook when you receive an email rather than all those in the list.

You can create a distribution list for sending the mail. There are two types of distribution lists – client side distribution list and server side distribution list.
