No. It's a concept device.

I would really love to see something like this to encourage Chromebooks as a web based gaming platform, for CAD (AutoCAD has for example AutoCAD WS which runs reasonably well on a Chromebook), video editing etc. In theory using WebGL, Native Client etc. ChromeOS should be able to run reasonably high end games, CAD and video/sound editing. The only thing that stops such apps being developed is because only low end hardware is available for them to run on.

I agree. It would be nice to see some higher-end hardware. The Core-i5 Samsung Chromebox (P/N: 300M22-A02) is incredibly difficult to get hold of and even then it's limited to 4GB RAM due to ChromeOS (despite the hardware being capable of supporting 16GB RAM). While zRAM could be enabled, it's not a substitute for real RAM, is it?

 

I'd like to buy a Chromebox, but the problem is Chrome on my Windows PC typically uses in excess of 9GB RAM.
