2003 SP2

Anyone got a list of 'gotchas' before I start installing SP2 on our servers.....?

If you use RIS, you will also have to upgrade to WDS, RIS won't work at all after the update. Other than that, all our server upgraded without a hitch. I think there's a few threads on server 2003 SP2 on here already, so have a browse as there may be other problems I'm not aware of.

 

Only other note is make sure you upgrade all your servers, particulalry your domain controllers, as I initially had issues when I had some servers on SP2 and some on SP1 which went away when they were all updated to SP2.

Did this last night (didn't reckon with todays date). It took ages for the servers to reboot and the DCs wouldn't come back at all until I powered them off and then took about 25 minutes to boot. Everything seems OK now (fingers crossed).

I'm about to upgrade all my servers to R2 from service pack 1. Would it be best for me to do this before installing service pack 2 or after?
