SimpleSi Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I just want to take a DVD, put it in a computer and run the setup. I'd like the setup program to deal with :- A. There is a previous version of Office and just upgrade it. B. There is no previous version(but posssibly a trial one) and just install it. When its finished, I'd like it to ask me to activate it. I would like the process to take say <10 mins. regards Simon
SYNACK Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) I did something like this ages ago, you want to edit the proplus.XML or something like that to add the default state and keys. You can also use the office configuration wizard from the installer to generate a msu that houses all the settings that you can both add to the updates folder and call as a parameter to the setup.exe in a batch file on the CD. Sorry if I'm a bit scrambled but its been a couple of years since I did this with a DVD for a charity to standardise them from their spread between 95 and 2007. You'll only manage 10 min if your on a fast machine with no other versions of price and no service packs in the updates folder or by using 2013 instead. Edited January 25, 2013 by SYNACK
