SMART Whiteboard Calibration issues on Win7

Hi there,

 

the prep school I support have been having issues calibrating, and more importantly retaining the calibration settings on Win 7 machines.

 

However it seems to work OK if the calibration is done by a user with admin rights to the PC. Does the board save the information somewhere a general user doens't have access to?

(Unfortunalty I'm not at the site and don't have access to a smart board to do a lot of checking... )

Hi Stuart,

 

We used a script to edit a registry entry to deal with this problem. Not in work right now to find it for you but I will try to remember in the morning if nobody else has helped.

Don't think it's changed much but this explains a bit more (for XP, think locations are sameish though)

Obviously would be more advisable to do GPO, rather than manual but hey

Are using using the latest version of the driver?

 

Have you updated the firmware for the board.

 

Are you using a usb extender?

 

Is the usb lead a long way from the board?

 

Have you tried another computer with the board?

It looks like its down to registry security, love it when you have to alter that for software to work!
