Pyroman Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Heya, I'm having trouble converting a load of WMF files to JPEG, they'll convert but the background converts to black not transparent or white(like the original image) and so the stick drawings that are WMF files become useless as you can't see them against a black background. I've done some googling and found this Convert WMF to JPG but i basically have no idea how to program and get it working. The files are in multiple folders and subfolders and there's 33000 images to convert!!!! HELP!
Ergo Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 That is likely because JPG does not support transparent areas of a file. try converting to PNG instead and you should find that works in most situations. Dave 1
AngryTechnician Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Just tried it here, and IrfanView converts my WMF files to JPEG using white as the transparency colour. 1
Pyroman Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Thanks guys, sorted :-) i was being dense! I'd converted to gif and JPEG with bulk image converter and no luck, converted to png and that worked. Irfanview converted straight to JPEG =D I'm a happy man. Cheers
