agarabaghi Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Im having some issues imaging this computer... It's a lenovo x1 carbon and we got the USB 2.0 to ethernet adapter from lenovo. I am able to boot into the MDT2010 and click on launch deployment wizard, but it then says no networking devices were found on this machine. It's weird cause i used the adaptor to PXE boot into mdt 2010... any ideas?
agarabaghi Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 maybe i need to add the driver to the lite touch image and not just mdt?
glennda Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 maybe i need to add the driver to the lite touch image and not just mdt? I would do that - 9 times out of 10 its drivers.
Arthur Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) In addition to what Glennda said, is 'USB 3.0 Mode' set to Auto in the UEFI BIOS (assuming you are connecting it to the USB 3.0 port that is)? Edited January 15, 2013 by Arthur
Z_Funk Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 @agarabaghi -- Did that fix your issue? I am having the same issue (using the Lenovo usb 2.0 ethernet dongle, same computer model, Carbon X1, win7, i5, 4gb ram). I am trying to image our Carbon X1's through MDT 2010 and get the same error message. I added the correct driver (at least what i think is the correct driver) to MDT and the Light Touch boot image.. same error.
agarabaghi Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 did you update the deployment on both the litetouch side and mdt? that helped me. I will check on monday which drive im using.
snork13 Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 This may help deploy the X1 or Helix Lenovo Carbon X1 Laptop deployment with MDT2012 « hope it helps. -snork
