Just wondering because i have two windows 8 enterprise PCs and it just hangs on install. We've set them up as test PCs for teachers to play with in the staffroom.....should be interesting.

Not yet. I contacted Impero regarding this, they are working on Windows 8 support for sometime in the first half of this year.

Thank you dhoward_westexetc :)

There is a beta version (contact support and they can sort you out) which works but missing a few things mainly dam metro interfering. Don't want to put a date on it yet until developer finished hitting metro with a rather large stick...

Cheers russdev, I'll soldier on without it for now, it's not a major issue, just would have been nice to be able to monitor anyone "playing" with the windows 8 test pcs. Plus i think even if we were thinking of moving over to windows 8 it'd be in more like 9 months time anyway :p

Presumably there is an issue with the Metro version of IE and the BHO is there?

Hence why I am keeping my Windows 8 test PCs within the confines of the server office at the moment, in fact in VMs even! :)

I can confirm this I have it working on the machines in my office.. Not sure about some features like request assistance on login screen etc not that far into testing

Seeing as this thread is still alive, just for anyone with v4005....if you have v4 + you have the GP enabled for "Do not display last username" (on the login screen) you might find that remote login functionality doesn't work. Got impero working on a fix though...

You can disable that in properties for the computer/user group, under workstation settings.

Odd, we have had 3502 working with windows 8 here for a while.. however i did get the install error at one point. All i think i changed was installing net 3.5 via windows features, that sorted many backwards compatibility issues. Also, the IE10 BHO issue is sorted by disabling protected mode.

Strange injection broke on some setups on Windows 8 on 3502 but not others..

I am currently trying to install Impero 3502 client on my Windows 8 workstation, but it errors out with "Service 'Impero Client SVC' (ImperoClientSVC) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start the system service."

I'm logged is as a Domain Admin with Local Admin rights. UAC is set to 'Never Notify' though, and I know Windows 8 really doesn't like that.

Any ideas, anyone? Version 4 should be available to us soon, so I may have to wait.

Love the product, though! :-)
