Changing DSRM password?

Hi,

 

I'm uncertain of our domain DSRM password and would like to change it.

 

I have found the following article on the procedure involved to make the changes, but would like some clarification on what knock on effects this may have to the server/domain.

Does this password effect anything else apart from the DSRM password, will it affect the running of Active Directory and the server if I change the password whilst the server is in use.

 

Are there any dangers in changing this password?

As no one has responded here I thought i'd post a response I received from TechNet Blog.

 

No. The DSRM password is only used to log on to the DC in DS Restore Mode. The DSRM Administrator account is actually stored a local SAM database, so you are in no way affecting any accounts in Active Directory.

 

You're not going to break anything by resetting the DSRM password.
